Beverly was born in Oklahoma City on June 12, 1940. Her father, Don Cooper, worked in the oil industry and her mother Louise was a homemaker. Over the last twenty years, she offered time, love, and support to countless women in Amarillo. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. Her quiet courage, sweet kindness, and unconditional acceptance endeared her to everyone.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Shapley, and her mother, Louise Clark.
