Bernard H. Grabber, 86, of Canyon, died Saturday, January 30, 2021.

Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 3, 2021 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Umbarger with Father Grant Spinhirne, pastor, officiating.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Bernard was born on June 7, 1934 in Carson County, Texas to Clara Johanna and Frank Henry Grabber.  He was a veteran in the United States Army serving in 1956 – 1957.  Bernard had worked as a farmer and a mechanic.

He married Marcella “Marcie” Josephine Sanning December 29, 1958.

Bernard was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Grabber.

He is survived by his wife Marcie; his children, Mikel Grabber and wife Kerri; Doris Collins and husband Bill; and Brenda Grabber; fourteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and one sister Bernice Tintes of Willmar, Minnesota.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Mary’s Church in Umbarger would be greatly appreciated.

    I was so saddened to hear of Bernards passing. He was always such a kind man to everyone and so loved. My mother Christa, brother Rick and I really admired his gentle ways and kind spirit.

    May our Lord grant you peace and strength in your time of sorrow, and know Bernard will always be remembered and missed.

  2. My thoughts and prayers are with each of the family members. I am so glad my husband and I were able to visit and meet Bernard and so many of my cousins of the Grabber family about ten years ago. My sincere sympathy to all.
