It was always a joy to work with Ralph and Barbara in the youth activities we had. Summer Camp. Pathfinders. They always held the very closest of God’s principals and were great examples for all of us….young and old alike.

  4. What a Godly woman. She was an inspiration to all that she came in contact with and her heart’s desire was that ALL should be saved. She was specially supportive and involved in Women’s Ministry. I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to come to know Sister Harmon and spend some time with her. She always gave God all the glory, honor and praise for who she was and everything that she did. May God continue to specially protect and bless this wonderful family and may God richly bless the memory of Barbara Harmon.

  6. Sorry to hear of this great loss to our Amarillo Church family. Barbara was a dear lady, with a caring heart.

My best memory of Barbara was the day we got in an accident on the 100th anniversary of the Amarillo Adventist Academy. We were double-heading at Hereford and got in an accident on the way back to Olsen Park. We called mid-service to let someone know we didn’t know if we would make it. Thankfully, Barbara answered the phone as the service was well in progress. She INSISTED on coming clear to Canyon to pick us up. We were soooo grateful to see her.!! Thankfully Vialo Jr was preaching that day.

Barbara had a way of getting things done with dispatch and she was not afraid of hard work. We were blessed to have her in our life.

    Our love and prayers,
Pr David & Cinda Lea Sitler

  7. I am so sorry to learn about the death of Mrs. Harmon. May God give you strength and His grace.
My grandparents were Jeff and Molly Stringer. They lived across the street at 2905. In the 1960s and early 1970s, my brother and I would often play with Doug and Roy when we visited our grandparents.
In later years after my grandfather had a stroke, your parents were wonderful neighbors checking in on my grandmother. Mr. and Mrs. Harmon were priceless. They did little things that allowed my grandmother to stay in her house longer. For years after this, I would drive by their old house and glance across the street and remember Mr. and Mrs. Harmon. They were the finest neighbors ever. Please know I will be remembering them this week as you celebrate the life of Mrs. Harmon.
