Barbara Katherine Wickham – July 9, 2012

Barbara Katherine Wickham, 87, of Amarillo died on Monday, July 9, 2012 in California.
A vigil service will be at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. with a family visitation following from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2012, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with Reverend Daniel Dreher as celebrant. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Wickham was born on March 31, 1925, in Crosswell, Michigan to Joseph and Elizabeth Welter. She moved to Los Angeles in 1945, and began a successful modeling career.  She married Arthur Wayne Wickham on June 21, 1949, in Los Angeles, California. They moved to Amarillo in late 1949 where Arthur joined his father running the Culligan Water Conditioning Company.  Arthur and Barbara had their first child, Wayne, in 1951, and Sharon, in 1953.  She loved to play bridge, knit, sew and show her creative side through creating other crafts. Mrs. Wickham was member of St. Thomas Catholic Church.  She was a loving mother and wife.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Wayne Wickham.
Survivors include a son, Wayne C. Wickham and wife Noelle of Danville, California; a daughter, Sharon Tuttle and husband Philip of Woodbridge, Virginia; a granddaughter, Kelly Day of Houston and a grandson, Robert Tuttle of Fayetteville, North Carolina.
