Arnold (Arnie) Norman Miller-May 30, 2011

Arnold (Arnie) Norman Miller, 59, of Amarillo died on Monday, May 30, 2011.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the First Christian Church with Reverend Barry Loving, Senior Minister, officiating.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Arnie was born on August 9, 1951 in Kalamazoo, Michigan.  He graduated from St. Mary’s Law School in San Antonio then moved to Amarillo in 1981 to begin practicing law.  After serving as Chief Felony Prosecutor in the Potter County District Attorney’s Office, he went into private practice and became a well respected criminal defense attorney.  Arnie was also an avid golfer.  He was a devoted father, husband and attorney.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Miller.
Survivors include his mother, Evelyn Miller; his wife, Cathy Blakley Miller; children, Dawson, Noah and Chloe Miller of the home and daughters, Randi Gutierrez and husband Jonathan and Kelly Henninger and husband Harley; his grandchildren, Elliott, Kayla, Ellason and Bennett.
The family would like to thank the nurses at BSA Hospice for the loving care they provided Arnie during his last days.
The family suggests memorials be to melanoma research at MD Anderson Cancer Center, 1515 Holcombe Blvd., Houston, TX 77030, also friends of the Miller family have set up a scholarship fund for the Miller children at Amarillo National Bank, P.O. Box 1, Amarillo, TX 79105.
