Anna Nadine Swift McIntosh went to be with Jesus on November 6, 2020.

Nadine was born to Arthur Ernest and Susie Mae Swift on December 27, 1923, in Graham, TX. Within a few years, the family moved to Amarillo, TX where she lived most of her life. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1941.
In 1946, she met and married Truman Thurston. They were blessed with three children, David, Linda, and Carol. While raising her children, she was a homemaker and later went to work for Santa Fe Railroad. Nadine transferred to Topeka, KS with the railroad in 1979, and remained there until her retirement in 1986. She returned to Amarillo and continued to work for Gingiss Formal Wear and volunteered at St. Anthony’s Hospital.
While working she enjoyed traveling the world and painting and crafting projects. She loved reading and read until she could no longer hold a book. Her biggest joy in life was spending time with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Nadine was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Susie Swift; two brothers, Noel and Wayland Swift; her daughter, Carol Ann Johnson; one grandson, Benjamin Grady Johnson; two great-grandchildren, Drew William Duval and Catherine Grace Best.
She is survived by her son, David Thurston and wife Linda; her daughter, Linda Brady and husband Charlie; seven grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
