Anacleto “Nick” Garcia

Anacleto “Nick” Garcia, 74, of Amarillo, TX died March 23, 2020.

Family services will be at 1:00 P.M., Friday, March 27, 2020, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Amarillo.

Nick was born in McNary, TX on January 16, 1946 to Carolina and Alfredo Garcia.

Nick was a Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch Alumni. Nick had a strong work ethic. He was a truck driver for many years and retired as a diesel mechanic. A few of his hobbies included raising and caring for many different farm animals, gardening, and he could fix just about anything from home repairs to car repairs. He was willing to teach anyone, if they were willing to learn.

Above all, Nick’s greatest love was for his family. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he loved them beyond measure.

Nick never met a stranger, and he was a role model and father figure to many people over the years. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Dinah Garcia; daughter, Roenna Bermea; grandchildren, Ashley Lujan and Marissa Bermea; great-grandchildren, Ezelia Owens, Ace Tran, and Esmerie Mendoza; soon-to-be-great-grandchild, Avalyn Jaramillo; sisters, Dora Valenciano, Connie Martinez, Alicia Garcia, and Norma Diaz; and brothers, Oscar Garcia, and Miguel Garcia.
