Alberto Rubio, 82, of Amarillo, TX died Saturday, February 8, 2020.
Rosary will be at 6:00 p.m., Monday, February 10, 2020 in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Mass will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 11, 2020 in St. Laurence Catholic Church. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Alberto was born on April 8, 1937 in Durango, Mexico to Antonia and Donicio Rubio. He had worked for Santa Fe Railroad for 26 years.
He married Magdalena Escobedo on June 26, 1965.
He is survived by his wife, Magdalena Rubio; two sons, Albert Rubio and wife Sandra and Steve Rubio and wife Renee, all of Amarillo; two brothers, Gabriel Rubio of Grand Junction, CO and Francisco Rubio of Almagordo, NM; a sister, Jovita Rubio of California; and five grandchildren, Isaac Rubio, Jacob Rubio, Alexandra Rubio, Marcos Antonio Rubio and Romie Rubio.
Albert is now with the angels, may he rest in peace. Our prayers are with his family.

Albert Sr. was a kind man who we will all miss so much. He was soft spoken and guiding at the same time. A loss has happened to the world but mostly to his family. We send our condolences and love to his immediate family of Magdalena, Albert Jr. and Steve along with their own families.
