  1. Loved working with Miss Sparks and and Mr Sparks. They will always be in my heart and family will always be in my prayer.

  2. Gary King Pharmacy took care of the Sparks for years. “Mr. Sparks” tried so hard to play the “grumpy old man role” but he couldn’t quite pull it off. He did enjoy entirely too much the torment he gave me every month when he came in to get his monthly vitamin shot. Mary Ann and my daughter Ginny and I gave him back as much sass as we possibly could.
The gifts of his woodworking craft are among our favorite possessions. We were so pleased as he continued his gifting to my granddaughter as recently as this spring.
We were honored to have known Gene and Beverly.

  3. I have the fondest of memories of Gene. My sweet and kind gardening friend and neighbor. I have missed him.
    Thinking of his family.

  4. I am bless to have worked for Gene. He had a kind and gentle soul, was always there to help in anyway he could. I will miss him.

  5. I enjoyed working with Gene at Diamond Shamrock /Maxus for 20+ years. He tried to hide his soft side behind a gruff exterior but wasn’t successful as you got to know him better. I respected him professionally and personally and have many fond memories. Thoughts and prayers for his family. Rest In Peace, Gene. 🙏🏻
