Alan Don Alexander, 52, of Amarillo died Saturday, March 10, 2012.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Alan was born November 17, 1959 in Plainview, Texas to Marvin and Alene Alexander. He attended Amarillo High School. Most notably, he was lifelong co-owner/cook at Alexander’s Barbeque where he touched the lives of many.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Alene Dunlap Alexander, and his brother-in-law, Glen Wilson.
Survivors include his fiancé, Debra Jackson; one son, Darius Payne; one daughter, Kisha Gray; one step daughter, LaToya Evans; his father, Marvin Alexander; one grandson, Demarion Payne; two step grandsons, Ti Ray Evans and Ty Quis Evans; five sisters, Sheila Alexander, Marlena Alexander, Sharon Alexander, Lonette Richardson and Charlotte Wilson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
