Robert (Bob) Keith Davis, 73, of Amarillo, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2021.

Services will be at 4:00 P.M., Monday, March 1, 2021, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Dr. G.A. Roach officiating.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

He was born in Amarillo, TX on July 16, 1947, to Clarence Victor Davis and Betty Smith Davis. Both parents preceding him in death.

Prior to retirement, Bob worked for Levi Strauss and Miller Bumper. He was a genius mechanic who loved classic cars. Bob was a kind, generous man surrounded by many friends and family who loved him dearly.

Bob and Donna Davis married on March 17, 2001. She preceded him in death on March 31, 2013.

Also preceding him in death, his sister Sue Fuller along with her children C. Kenneth Fuller and Vanessa Hewitt.

Bob is survived by his son, Kristopher Keith Davis of Los Angeles, CA, his daughters, D’Anna Ison and husband Dale, Katie Morgan and husband Woodrow, Cassie Johnson, Dana Hatchett and husband Jason, all of Amarillo; along with nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Carolyn Barker and husband Jimmy of Amarillo and their children, Tamara Sypult and husband Scott and Jimmy Barker, Jr.; cousins, Wanda Whittenburg, Bill Bennett, Jeannie Bridges, Chris Roach, and Johnny Kenehan.

    You will be terribly missed. You were a mentor to me everything mechanical. I just moved back to Amarillo and I’m so sorry I missed you. Big hugs!!

  2. Bob will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was ahead of his time when it came to cars and hot rods. Had the Discovery Channel been around in the 70s, he would have had his own show for sure. My love for all things cars came from my Uncle Bob, and I’m thankful for that. When Bob entered a room, everyone knew it because he had a great presence, quick wit, and an outstanding handlebar mustache! The world was a better place with you here.

    1. Thank you so much for such a sweet post , It sure was a perfect service and closure for his daughters, and Wanda. Also all of his friends he knew throughout the years who showed up to pay their respect. Also All the people he worked with that Levi as well as Miller bumper, and tons of other people who just adored and loved that man. We the family just want to thank each and every person who took the time to attend Bob’s home going.

  6. Bob was a great guy, truly genuine would do anything to help anybody who needed it. He will be greatly missed by many. The saying goes that it takes a village to raise a child and this could not be more true. Although I was not a child when we met, I’m sure glad that you were part of my village. Rest well my friend and I will see you on the other side.

  7. RIP my friend,you will be dearly missed. You were always so kind to me at Miller’s. Anytime I asked you something or needed something you were always there to help me with what ever it was.
