  1. I am so sorry for your loss. My mom and I were traveling from Denver to Houston in 2010 when we got a flat tire. Long story short, we ended up staying in Dumas for a couple nights as we tried to get the tire replaced. We stayed at the Dumas Inn, and Melvin was so kind and helpful as we problem-solved. My mom and I have always remembered him!

  2. Melvin was a life-long friend of my husband who passed away in 2018. He and Melvin have been friends since 2nd grade. They kept in contact over the years, loved telling stories of their younger years, talking farming and tractors etc. Melvin was best man at our wedding. We have enjoyed Melvin and Kays visits and my prayers go to Kay. Melvin will be missed

  3. Every once in a while, God blesses us with a very special person, and our lives are changed forever. Uncle Melvin was a true one-of-a kind who always knew how to make us laugh. We are going to miss him greatly and share your sadness in saying goodbye.

  4. I have known Melvin for so-long, I don’t remember when he first worked repairing various-appliances for my Mother and Dad, Jack and Ima Jean Green and later for Tom and I. He was a hard-worker and backed his-work. May God bless you in your-time of loss. I know from 18-years as a widow myself, it won’t be easy at times but cling to our Lord’s unfailing and unchanging hand, He will always be right there to see you through. Grieve-as-you must, not-as-others will tell you is right, wrong or indifferent. Travel the pathway He has for each as there are no-pathways but that individual one for each. I have lost contact with so-many since I moved from Dumas in 2003 to be close to only daughter and her-family.
