Gordon Glen Moore, 80, of Vega, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014, in Memorial Park Cemetery at Vega. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers at Vega, 110 Main.
Gordon was born Dec. 6, 1934, in Lela to Andrew and Lois Moore. He married Wanda Lewis on May 22, 1954. He was a rancher and truck driver for Vega Sand and Gravel. Gordon also owned and operated Hickory Inn and Moore’s Trailer Park.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Wanda Moore, of the home; a daughter, René Strawhacker and husband David, of Amarillo; a son, Pat Moore and wife Charlene of New Braunfels; two brothers, James Moore and wife JoAnne of Canyon Lake and Jack Moore and wife Sue of Dallas; a sister, Linda Blair and husband Dwight of Lubbock; three grandchildren, Kristopher, Andrew and Brandye; and five great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014, at the funeral home in Amarillo and from Noon – 6:00 p.m., Friday, Dec. 19, 2014, at the funeral home in Vega.
