Zoleta Baker Cash, 88, of Amarillo, Texas joined our Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven on April 12, 2024.
Zoleta was a descendant of a Texas Panhandle pioneer ranching family. She was born on June 2, 1935, to Horace and Esther Baker on the family ranch at the edge of the Palo Duro Canyon in Armstrong County. She married her high school sweetheart Bobby Lee Cash in 1953. After a brief time in Oxnard, California, she and Bobby lived the rest of their 60 years of marriage in the Amarillo area.
She was an active member of Westcliff Bible Church and devoted countless hours to sharing the gospel with children through her involvement in Child Evangelism Fellowship. She worked various jobs in her life from assisting in dress boutiques to managing a skin care company. Her last and most rewarding job was supporting her husband in opening their company Forms Management Service. Her interests were baking with her grandchildren, playing bridge, square dancing, and hosting cookouts on the edge of the canyon. Time with her family and many friends was what she truly enjoyed more than anything.
She is preceded in death by her husband Bobby, her son David Lee Cash, her brother Vincent Baker, her sister Joy Mathews, and her grandchildren Austin Ousley and Ellen Ousley.
Survivors include her son Terrill Cash and wife Brenda; daughter Camille Ousley and husband Bruce; grandchildren Daniel Cash, Baker Ousley, Britt Ousley, and Aimee Bowen; 6 great-grandchildren, nephew Steve Mathews; and niece Melody Wilson.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, April 19, 2024, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount Blvd, Amarillo.
The family suggests memorials be sent to Child Evangelism Fellowship, Panhandle Chapter, 2700 S. Western, Suite 500, Amarillo, TX, 79109.
