Yvonne Gay Benton

Yvonne Gay Benton, 89, of Midland, TX passed away March 31, 2025.

Visitation with the family will be from 5-6:30 PM, Friday, April 4, 2025, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Memorial service will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Coulter Road Baptist Church. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Yvonne was born in New Boston, TX. She married Jim Benton in Dallas, TX on October 31, 1959. She was a wonderful godly ministers’ wife as well as a godly mother and grandmother. She loved her two sons, Mark and wife Abby, and Tim and wife Nicol. She loved her 3 granddaughters, Reagan and husband Anthony Ingram, Maddie Benton, and Konnor Benton.

She retired as a secretary with the Army and Airforce Exchange Service in Dallas. She was always a loving, gentle christian lady. She traveled the world in mission work with her preacher husband. Together, they shared 65 ½ years of marriage. She was always the rock for her family.

She is survived by her husband Jim Benton of Midland, TX; sons, Mark Benton and wife Abby of Elk City, OK and Tim Benton and wife Nicol of Midland, TX; granddaughters, Reagan Ingram and husband Anthony of Wake Forest, NC, Maddie Benton of Elk City, OK, and Konnor Benton of Midland, TX; brother, John Gay of New Boston, TX; and other relatives and many friends of Amarillo, Dallas, and around the world.
