William Lee “Bill” Dickey, 63, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, in Hillside Christian Church West Campus Chapel with Bob Schroeder, pastor, officiating. Private burial will follow. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Mr. Dickey was born Aug. 6, 1949, in Beaver County, Oklahoma to John and Dessa Dickey. He married Shirley Meadows on Aug. 22, 1969, in Shamrock. Mr. Dickey had been a CPA in Amarillo since 1982; and had worked with countless charities and numerous boards. He was a former elder and member of Hillside Christian Church. Bill was an Eagle Scout and a proud supporter of Boy Scouts of Amarillo all of his life.
He was preceded in death by a brother, George Dickey.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Shirley Dickey, of Amarillo; a daughter, Heather Sutterfield and husband Paul of Amarillo; two sons, B.J. Dickey of Arlington and Luke Dickey and wife Melissa of Sunray; a brother, David Dickey and wife Carol of Little Hocking, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Patsy Dickey Olsen of Bloomington, Illinois; six grandchildren, Hailey Fry, Audrey Fry, Hannah Dickey, Mateo Dickey, Audrey Sutterfield and Neison Sutterfield; and numerous extended family and friends.
