William Henry "W.H." Brown – March 14, 2017

Brown Obit PicWilliam Henry “W.H.” Brown, 67, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, March 14, 2017.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 17, 2017, in Memory Gardens Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

W.H. was born April 27, 1949, in Amarillo to Albert and Jimmie Brown.  He graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1968.

He had worked at ASARCO, G.E. Electrical, had owned Lonestar Stripping and Refinishing, and at Baptist Community Services.

W.H. married Mary Jo Callan in September of 1995.

Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Mary Jo Brown, of Amarillo; two sons, Shane Brown and wife Davina of Fritch and Jason Brown and wife Sherae of Amarillo; a stepson, Kevin Callan and wife Cari of Lone Grove, Okla.; a brother, Gary Brown and wife Jeri of Amarillo; six grandchildren, Sierra Scott and husband John, Hannah Brown, Clessie Oldham, Carson Callan, Stella Brown and Julia Brown; and an expected great-grandson, William David Scott.

The family suggests memorials be to Snack Pak 4 Kids.

    While I never had the honor of meeting W.H., I feel I owe him a great deal. Jason Brown is by far one of the best people I have ever had the honor of knowing and calling a friend. I have no doubt that many of W.H’s values and principles are instilled in Jason. For that… I wanted to take a minute to say thank you to W.H. Brown.
    The greatest accomplishment of ones life is no doubt the legacy they leave.
