Virginia Frances Vigil

Virginia Frances Vigil, 76, of Amarillo, TX, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2024.

The funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Virginia was born on May 1, 1948, to Reynaldo and Margaret Vigil in Logan, NM.

She enjoyed outdoor activities such as fishing and liked to indulge in a little gambling. Virginia was known for her love of dressing up for events and always made sure her outfit was coordinated from head to toe. She was famous for her shopping skills and often shopped for others. Virginia adored her three rescue dogs, Poncho, Penelope, and Hass. She cherished her Wednesday family lunch with her son and daughters, and above all, she treasured spending time with her sisters.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Reynaldo Vigil, her son, Rudy Spencer, her daughter, Darlen Ruiz, her sister, Linda Duarte, her granddaughter Andrea Elizalde, and brother, Ray Vigil.

She is survived by her children, David Elizalde and wife America, Berta Fuentes, and Amanda Vigil and husband Jaron; grandchildren, Rudy Vigil and wife Angel, Allen Minjares, Sabrina Elizalde, Devette Elizalde, Felicia Ruiz-Ortiz and wife Mo, Gabriel Spencer and wife Iris, Christopher Sifuentez and wife Gabby, Dereck Sifuentez, David Spencer, Antoinette Marez, and Michelle Marez; siblings Loretta Duran, Ricky Vigil, Paula Hernandez, Cora Vigil, Patsy Reyes, and Cindy Carrasco; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandsons, Kaydence Dever and Capone Vigil.
