Virginia Ann Cook, 61, of Amarillo died Sunday, September 2, 2018.
Memorial services will be at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Virginia was born July 30, 1957, in Glendale, California to Lee and Joy Chesney. For more than thirty years, Virginia worked in childcare, the last of which was at Children’s Learning Center.
On October 27, 1990, Virginia married Rod Cook, in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Chapel of the Bells.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lee Chesney; and two sons, Obie and Dobie Cook.
Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Rod Cook, of the home; her mother, Joy Chesney of Tujunga, California; a sister, Nancy Bearce, of Montrose, California; nephew, Richard Vasquez and wife Mary, of Amarillo, and family, daughter, Gabby Vasquez, and son, James Vasquez and wife Bonae, and their son, Antonio; nephew Joe Vasquez, of Tujunga, California, and family, daughter, Christine Vasquez, and son, Aiden Vasquez; and cousins.
