Best friend we ever had for over 50 years. We will miss him very much.

Saddened to hear of Vernon’s passing. What a guy! I first became acquainted with Vernon through Barbershopping in the late 60’s (with the Golden Spread Chorus). He had a wonderful Baritone voice, and I enjoyed sitting next to him and busting Chords! I know if there is a Celestial Barbershop singing group where he now resides that he’s joining in and making everyone laugh. He will be missed!!

My thoughts and prayers go out to Vernon’s family. I have many fond memories of Vernon; upon graduating high school Vernon was my first boss. I was blessed to have worked with Vernon for many years until he retired. It’s been several years since I had spoken with Vernon but I thought of him often.

Prayers for Melba and the entire family. I loved Vernon Camp! He was one of the first people I met at Central Church of Christ in 1981. We performed in Chorus together and in some of the comedies. He was a great man and friend. Made me laugh all the time! I will certainly miss him, but feel he’s entertaining someone in heaven! Love you, Melba, Kristi Underhill
