Tommy Don Patterson, 82, of Amarillo, TX passed away October 26, 2024.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount. Interment will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors. 

Tommy was born May 21, 1942 in Clarendon, TX to Alvie and Lola Del Patterson. As a young man, Tommy did custom harvesting and ventured into farming and ranching. Later in his life, he moved his family to Dumas, TX and worked as a housing contractor. Some years later, he became involved in the oil and gas transportation business which led to his highly successful T & M Energy Transport Company. Tommy was also a very knowledgeable and successful investor. He enjoyed fishing, trips to Las Vegas, staying connected to his lifelong friends and he loved to laugh, crack jokes, and ride his Harley Davidson. Tommy was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and always loved being surrounded by his family. For many years, you could find him coaching his grandchildren’s baseball and softball teams for Dumas Little League. He was the Leader of Explorer Post #60, which led to many outdoor adventures with the men in his troop. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvie “Top” Patterson and Lola Del Connor; wife, Martha Patterson; and two granddaughters, Kelsey Jo Patterson and Jessica Hawkins. 

Tommy is survived by his children, Guy Patterson and wife Melinda, Mykie McClellan and husband Brian, and Joey Patterson and wife Kay; grandchildren., Zach Patterson and wife Josey, Meisha Patterson and Tyler Baldridge, Kaitlyn Wilhelm and husband Brett, Dreagan Patterson and wife Amanda, Hanna Jo Patterson, Morgan Patterson, Cole Patterson, and Ryan McClellan; and great-grandchildren, Gabriel Hawkins, Khamdyn Patterson, Jacob Fernandez, Gage Carthel, Haidynn Williams, Hudson Williams, Mayer Wilhelm, Banks Wilhelm, and a 9th great-grandson in February. 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to The Legacy at Town Square., 9700 Hillside Rd, Amarillo, TX 79119.
