Tom Oliver, 77, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at Llano Cemetery with Rev. Mike Garman, pastor of Eastridge Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Mr. Oliver was born March 27, 1935, in Quanah to Keith and Dilla Oliver. He married Lanelle Perkins on Sept. 17, 1952, in Hereford. He was a member of the Moose Lodge. Mr. Oliver worked as a truck driver at Baldwin Trucking and Panhandle Tire and Rubber.
He is preceded in death by his son, Howard Oliver in 1985, and his wife Lanelle Oliver in 2000.
Survivors include two daughters, Connie Nickels and Penny Maloney of Amarillo; a daughter-in-law, Angela Oliver Fisher of Amarillo; four grandchildren, Barbie Hernandez and husband Joe, Clinton Oliver and wife Alethia, and Dustin Oliver and wife April, all of Amarillo, and Jackie Eubanks and Jesse Gaytan of Eunice, N.M.; and seven great-grandchildren, Parker, Julian, Katelyn, Janelle, Kristyn, Andrea and Brayden.
The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
