Burleson Obit PicTom Burleson, 82, of Canyon, died Thursday, May 5, 2016.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 9, 2016, in Church at Quail Creek with Kyle Clayton officiating.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Tom was born December 23, 1933, in Richland, Texas to Albert and Lola Burleson.  He was an Army veteran. Tom worked in flight operations at Bell Helicopter. He loved anything to do with cars, especially classics. Tom also enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing, and playing bridge.  He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers and a sister.

Survivors include three daughters, Cathy Miller and husband Dick of Corsicana, TX, Nannette Evans and husband David of Amarillo, TX., Cheree Burleson of Canyon, TX., a son, Trey Burleson and wife Julie of Amarillo, TX., a brother, Jim Burleson and wife Betty, a sister, Laina Bartlow and husband Dave both of Amarillo, TX; seven grandchildren: Richard Miller, Hunter Weber, Elizabeth McKenzie, Landry McKenzie, Jake Burleson, Addie Burleson and Max Burleson; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, and special friend and companion Marlena Kerns.

The family suggests memorials be to Dick’s Classic Car Museum, 120 Stagecoach Trail, San Marcos, TX 78666.
