Thomas “Tommy” Horace Hogan, 76, of Lubbock, Texas passed away on July 25, 2024.
Private family graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 29, 2024, at Llano Cemetery with Dr. G. A. Roach officiating. Military Rites will be provided by Volleys for Veterans. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Tommy was born in Amarillo, Texas on September 2, 1947, to Katherine (Baker) and H. M. Hogan. He served in the United States Army Reserves as a sharpshooter from 1970 -1976. Tommy graduated from West Texas State University with his Bachelor of Science degree in math. He had been the manager of Berkeley Pump in Amarillo from 1966 – 1987 and then the manager of Rentzel Pump in Lubbock from 1987 – 2013.
He married Sherri Tucker, on July 12, 1969. After twenty-nine years of marriage, they decided they loved each other better as friends and were the best of friends.
He loved riding his Harley, fishing trips with Boog, and scratch off tickets.
He was preceded in death by his mom, Katherine Hogan; dad, H. M. Hogan; sister, Virginia Hogan; and his dog, Muffin Hogan.
Tommy is survived by his daughter, Tonya Gould of Lubbock; granddaughter, Whitney Gould of Lubbock; honorary grandson, Nathan Reyna of Lubbock; brother, Richard Hogan of Amarillo; and his Scrabble Buddy, Sherri Hogan.
