Thomas Glenn Evans

Thomas Glenn Evans was born May 11, 1962. He departed from this world January 24, 2025.

Thomas was an expert craftsman and painter. He would very proudly point to the place where he worked a job.

Thomas married Lisa July 31, 2001. He loved Lisa so much he incorporated that message into every job he did. In fact, if you fly over their home you will see “I love Lisa” painted on top of the boxcar.

Thomas was happiest when he was spending time with his family. Lovingly known as “Pops”, he let his inner child run wild when the grandkids were around. He loved taking the kids on rides on the four-wheeler or pushing them on the swing he put up in the tree. His inside jokes and unique one-liners will be missed.

Thomas and Lisa were incredibly proud of their young two children, Harrah and Bonnar, for taking on the project of helping rebuild Glenrio, New Mexico. Once a thriving Route 66 stop, Glenrio had been forgotten after its decline. Thomas had always known his children were capable of extraordinary things.

Thomas is preceded in death by his parents Shirley and Glenn Evans. He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years Lisa Evans of Wildorado; their children Madelyn, Harrah Evans, and Bonnar Fuqua (Angel) of Wildorado; Clarissa Rangel Bradly Evans (Taylor) and Marcus Evans all of Amarillo. Grandchildren Lilliana Rangel, Noah, Maelei, Bristol, Carson and Kyler Evans; a sister Rebecca Evans of San Antonio, Phyllis (Gene) Belfield of Amarillo; Dr. Abraham and Ericka Turgeon and especially his nephew Aaron Turgeon-Fuqua for being there in a time of need and numerous nieces and nephews. And all his dogs Stella, Otis, Max, Cinnamon, Luna, Jenny, and Birdie May.
