Thomas (Tomas) Diaz, 77, of Amarillo, TX passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024.
Rosary will be at 5:00 pm, Monday, November 11, 2024, at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am, Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church, with V. Rev. Jose Ricardo Zanetti, JCL as celebrant. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by Volleys for Veterans.
Tomas was born March 4, 1947, in Lorraine, TX to Seberiano and Tomasa Diaz. He graduated from Farwell High School in 1967, and enlisted in the Army in 1967, achieving the rank of Sergeant at the time of his honorable discharge in 1969. Tomas worked for Tyson Foods as the General Manager for 14 years. He then went to work with his brother at Jesse’s Auto Parts where he was the Parts Manager for approximately 20 years. He later went to work for Auto Zone for 10 years.
He married Linda Diaz on December 19, 1997.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Luis Diaz, Jesse Diaz, Johnny Diaz, and Robert Diaz.
Survivors include his wife, Linda S. Diaz, of Amarillo, TX; daughter, Cindy Bustos and husband Richard, of Amarillo, TX; son, Michael Diaz and wife Julie of Amarillo, TX; stepdaughter, Abbie Rodriguez and partner Ian Mendez of El Paso, TX; stepson, Nathaniel Rodriguez and wife Nancy of El Paso, TX; sisters, Esperanza Cardenas, of McAllen, TX, Carmen Ramirez and husband Charlie, of Dalhart, TX, Benita Trevino, of Mesquite, TX, Lupe Garcia and husband Galdino, of Bovina, TX, Rosa Quiroga, of Bovina, TX, and Francis Trevino, of Dumas, TX; nephew, Adrian Diaz; grandchildren, Anthony, Samantha, Ashley, Christopher, Cameron, Colby, Jonah, Jaylan, Val, James, Amerie, June, and Axel; and many great-grandchildren.
