The Reverend Charles Alexander Wilson, Jr., 85, of Amarillo, died November 24, 2018.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 1, 2018, at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 1601 Georgia St. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Charles Alexander Wilson, Jr. was born July 25, 1933, in Kalispell, Montana to Charles and Edith Wilson. After serving in the Army he attended the University of Montana, graduating in 1957. Upon completing seminary at Church Divinity School of the Pacific, in Berkeley, CA in 1962, Charles was ordained as an Episcopal Priest. He served churches in: St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Hereford, TX, St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Amarillo, TX, St. Paul’s Episcopal Churchm Artesia, NM, St. James Episcopal Church, Dalhart, TX, St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, El Paso, TX, St. John’s Episcopal Church, Farmington, NM, All Saints Church, Minot, ND, two churches in California, and St. John’s Episcopal Church, Butte, MT.
He is survived by his wife Emily Wilson of Amarillo, TX; his sons Brian Wilson and Kevin Wilson of Spring, TX; a daughter Kate Simmons of Amarillo, TX; twenty-seven grandchildren; his brother David Wilson of Reno, NV; and his sister Betsy Neighbors of Sparks, NV.
