Terrie Gail Bechtel, 54, of Sanford, died Monday, September 10, 2018.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Boxwell Brothers Memorial Chapel, 500 N. Maddox with Anthony Inman officiating.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas.

Terrie was born on January 4, 1964 in Lubbock to James “Jimmy” and Cam Terrell.  She had worked as a general contractor for new home construction and was the past city clerk for Sanford.  She married Kurtis Bechtel on December 22, 2009.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Brandon Karnes.

She is survived by her husband, Kurtis Bechtel of Sanford; two daughters, Kimberly Schillinger and husband Jeffrey of Houston, Katie Charleton and husband Chase of Borger; four sons, Jake Karnes and Becca Melo of Dallas, Josh Bechtel and wife Jessi of Granbury, Tx., Jacob Bechtel of Fritch, Joseph Bechtel and wife Brittany of Sanford; a sister, Rhonda Palmero of Trumbull, Ct.; a brother, Jimmy Shelton and wife Amber of Chickasha, Ok.; and several grandchildren.

    So sad at the loss of a powerhouse dynamo lady! She was terrific, fierce, funny and full of love and compasssion. Prayers of peace and comfort for th the family. She is living her best ever with our God!

    I had the pleasure of knowing Terri and her sons and other family many years ago. She was one of the most love giving ,caring people I had ever met. And man could she cook a mean chicken fried steak. She was a diamond. Rest in peace Terrie. Thanks for letting me be a part of your life. .
