Tarin Santos Rios

Tarin Santos Rios, 48, of Amarillo, Texas entered into eternal rest on September 30, 2023.

Viewing will be available from 10:00 A.M. – 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Services will be at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, October 5, 2023, at New Life International, 406 Pittsburg St., with Spike Maldonado officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Tarin was born in Amarillo, Texas on July 29, 1975, to Patsy and Alex V. Rios. Tarin graduated from Caprock High School in 1993. His passion was running. He won many medals and beat many records, which he proudly told anyone any chance he got! He attended Amarillo College and West Texas Electrical JATC where he obtained his lifelong dream of becoming a journeyman electrician and IBEW member. He worked for a few well-known establishments locally throughout his 20 plus years. His most recent and current employment of 10 years was at Davids Quality Electric. Tarin’s most prized accomplishments are his two children and his grandchildren.

Tarin was a loving father, the perfect son, protective brother, and devoted friend to many.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Patsy “Paki” Rios; and brother, Anthony “Twon” Rios.

Tarin is survived by his father, Alex V. Rios and spouse Connie Esparza of Houston, TX; sister, Polly Rios of Amarillo, TX; stepsister, Andrea Torres of Houston, TX; sister in laws, Mica, Sonia, and Synthia; former spouse, Sydia Aguilar; children, Karina Rios and spouse Nathan Subealdea of Amarillo, TX, and Jaydin T. Rios of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren, Ethan, Kamden, and Koryn Subealdea of Amarillo, TX; and fiancée, Lori Millican and her children, Rylee, Ashton, and Brady of Amarillo, TX. He was also a second dad to his nieces and nephews, Taylor Liles and wife Sarah, Alexander Rios, MarcAnthony Rios, and Olivia Rios all of Amarillo, TX; great-nieces and nephew, Zaira Rios, Jesslynn Rios, and Fox Liles; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
