Stanley Kennedy, 74, of Canyon, Texas passed away on October 6, 2023
Services will be held at 3 PM on Friday, October 13, 2023, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Dr. G. A. Roach. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd
Stanley Eugene Kennedy
Stan was born on April 20, 1949, to Judd Kennedy and Dena Kennedy. Stan graduated from Amarillo High in 1967. He was an avid water skier and loved lakes and boating. He owned and flew various single engine planes. Stan had a passion for vintage cars, and was the owner of Kennedy Auto Restoration Service until retirement.
In his young adult life, Stan was a charter and instructional pilot for Tradewinds Airport. He and his family were involved with the Randall 4-H horse program. He coached little league baseball and led a 4-H Trap and Skeet group of high school students to state competition. He loved hunting dove and quail and was part of the ARKS organization. Stan was married to Nan Kennedy for 42 years.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents, brother Gary Bruce Kennedy, and daughter Kelly Leigh Kennedy Dressler
Survivors include, Nan Kennedy, son Michael Bryan Kennedy and girlfriend Alex Delgado of Claude, Grandchildren Garrett Watters Dressler and Katie Leigh Dressler, son-in-law John Dressler and wife Autumn Dressler of Canyon and sister Marti Jo Kennedy of Austin. Alongside several nieces and nephews.
