Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, in St. Stephen United Methodist Church with Dr. Stan Cosby, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Shirley was born Jan. 17, 1937, in Amarillo, to Joseph and Ruby Allred. She worked for Cornell & Co., Northwest Texas Hospital and Perdue & Brandon Law Firm. Shirley was a member of St. Stephen United Methodist Church where she was member of the Bridge Builders Sunday School class. She also loved the Saints Card Playing Group.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Warner Cook and William Mills; a brother, Buck Allred; and a sister, Treva Hubbard.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen Chapman and husband Dale of Amarillo and Jan Brumley and husband Neal of Lubbock; three granddaughters, Tamy Chapman of Newport Beach, CA, Jill Gilbert of West Richland, WA and Lauren Boepple of Richardson; three grandsons, Joe Chapman of Richland, WA, Andrew Chapman of Austin and Ryan Brumley of Lubbock; and five great-grandchildren, Isabelle, Wyatt, Avery, Claire and Cora.
