Scott Alan Tinkham

Scott Alan Tinkham, 75, of Des Moines, IA passed away pm January 20, 2025.

Memorial service will be at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount. To honor Scott, the family asks you to wear Harley Davidson shirts and jeans! Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors. 

Scott was born October 3, 1949 in Des Moines, IA, the only son to Richard and Carma Tinkham. Scott served in the United States Navy from 1972-1976. He worked with his dad until he went to work for Pantex in 1985. Scott married Debi McDonald in 1979 and together they raised their child, Tiffany. Scott retired from Pantex in 2015 and started a Ham Radio program. He loved classical cars, Harley Davidson’s, and radios. 

He is preceded in death by his father, Richard in 2006 and his mother, Carma in 2009.

Scott is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Dawn Russ and her husband Robby from Jetmore, KS; Debi Luera from Amarillo, TX; grandchildren, Jonathan Rivas and his wife Yuli Puentes, Dominique Rivas and Samantha Rivas all of Amarillo, TX; great-grandchildren, Eva Garcia and Zephania Rivas of Amarillo, TX.

The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
