Scott Dudley

Scott Dudley

A hero has fallen.  Scott Dudley was a hero to everyone he ever met; Scott was everyone’s best friend.  The purest soul ever placed into our lives, Scott’s kindness, always sunny outlook, love for this world and all of its creatures, faith in God, and matchless humor will remain in our hearts forever.  Scott was truly one of a kind.

Our broken hearts will heal with his brightness providing our paths forward – his memory helping to light our paths to see him again.  May we all strive to see him again one day, as we all know Scott is with God.  We will count our blessings each day having known Scott.  Scott was a truly special man, a hero to us all.

Scott’s countless friends and family will come together Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., at 3:00 p.m.

Scott leaves behind his wife, Nancy, his beloved son, Mason, his sister and her husband, Kayla and Larry Rohr, his steadfast and faithful mom, Naomi Sanders, his dog, Duffy, and immeasurable family and special friends.

Donations are gratefully appreciated in Scott’s name to the Amarillo Police Officer’s Benefit Fund, 200 SE 3rd Ave., Amarillo, Texas 79101.

Scott could put a smile on your face on the darkest of days. If his life were a movie, he’d be the hero wearing the white hat. He was great man and a great friend. He’ll be dearly missed.

Well, where do I begin? Scott and I met in the 7th grade at Bonham Jr. High. We’ve been friends ever since. We got our drivers license together (and cruised around Amarillo in his blue 68 Mustang listening to everything from the Beach Boy’s to Elvis Costello to Ted Nugent. We sat through endless episodes of Monte Python, drew our own comic books and created our own language. I introduced him to D&D (probably not a great idea) and Frank Frazetta. He brought Clint Eastwood and Charles Bronson movies into my life. My family moved away from Amarillo when I was in 11th grade but Scott and I always stayed in touch. Always. He was my friend, confidant but most of all my brother. Scott, as you make your journey, know that you are missed and loved. The impact that you have had on my life has been immense. I will let you go with “I love you, Scott!”

Scott ran the race…. And he’s crossed the finish line.
What a blessing it is to know that he is glorified in Christ…. What a tremendous friend to so many! You will be deeply missed my friend, but the good news is that we shall see each other again! No Goodbyes…. just See You Later! RIP Brother!

Scott was the guy who could make you laugh as he was insulting you. What a great sense of humor and wit. He had an interesting mind and was a great friend. “Because your mine, I walk the line”
Thank you Lord Jesus for a friend named Dud.
