Sara Beth McCall McDaniel

Sara Beth McCall McDaniel, 75, of Amarillo, TX passed away August 19, 2024.

Memorial service will be at 10:30 AM, Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors. 

Sara was born September 1, 1948, in Phillips, TX to Clifford Wayne McCall and Alta Fay Horton McCall. She graduated from Phillips High School in 1966. She married Gary Dean McDaniel on July 27, 1974. Sara obtained a degree from West Texas University and worked as an elementary school teacher followed by her family’s business. One of her greatest joys, was spending time with her grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Anna Grace McCall, Charles and Martha Horton; parents, Clifford and Alta Fay McCall; father and mother-in-law, Russell and Pattie McDaniel; three sisters, Rebecca Ann McCall Finnicum, Sandra Fay McCall Snelling, and Hariet Marie McCall Railsback and her husband Lynn; and brothers-in-law, Neill, Lavaughn, Pat, and Bobby McDaniel, and Sterlin Shields. 

Sara is survived by her husband Gary McDaniel; sons, Kyle McDaniel (Jennifer Maxwell) and Brandon McDaniel (Amanda); grandchildren, Trenton, Tanner, Halie, and Cason; special nephew, Clifton Railsback and wife Alison and their three daughters; and sister-in-laws, Ruth Shields and Kathleen Parsley (Billy Derrick); and brother-in-laws, Bruce McDaniel (Connie), Hal McDaniel, and Wayne Snelling. Clifton was born on the day of the start of her life with Gary; additional nephews, nieces, and special friends Shirley King and Sharon Blythe.
