Russell Kent Wilkinson

Russell Kent Wilkinson, 62, of Amarillo, TX

started

running on November 9th, 1960 and started flying on December 23rd, 2022.

Memorial service is this Saturday, December 31st from 2-6 pm at The Palisades Community Center, 110 Brentwood Dr. Food and drinks will be provided. Come and go as you please. Dad loved his football. Especially the Cowboys and the Longhorns! Wear your favorite team jersey, t-shirt, anything. Not a formal affair!

Russell was born to Nadine and Kenneth Wilkinson in Borger Texas. He was raised with 2 brothers, Clif Wilkinson of Angleton, Texas, and David Wilkinson of Fritch, Texas, and one sister, Hope Wood of Sanger, Texas.

Russell married the love of his life, Lea Ann, on December 7th, 1979.

Russell was a lover of the outdoors. From freezing in a deer blind to catching walleye at Lake Meredith, feeding the deer and turkey, and watching the hundreds of different species of birds in his own front yard. He always had a good joke to tell and stories about everything you could imagine.

Russell is survived by his wife, Lea Ann Wilkinson; three children, Jessica and Lee LaBonte of Amarillo, Rusty and Alexis Wilkinson of Amarillo, and Zachary and Renee Wilkinson of Amarillo; seven grandsons, Hayden, Maximus, Caleb, Aaron, Landon, Hunter, and Texas.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Nadine and Kenneth Wilkinson; and brother, David Wilkinson.

The legacy will always push forward. Russell was loved by many, and he will be missed but never forgotten.
