Ruby Ellen Calcote Needham – November 17, 2017

Ruby Ellen Calcote Needham, 84, of Amarillo passed into God’s loving arms Friday, Nov. 17, 2017.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, Nov. 20, 2017, at Llano Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Ruby was born May 20, 1933, in Kelton, Texas, Wheeler County.  She was daughter to John and Jewel Calcote, one of eight children.  She married Audrey Needham on August 29, 1949, in Wellington, Texas.  They were married 7 days short of 50 years.
Ruby was a remarkable person, a devoted mother, and an excellent cook.  She was a committed wife and grandmother who had an unforgettable smile and laugh.  Ruby was charitable and taught her family the joy of giving, family and God.
Audrey preceded Ruby in death in 1998.
Survivors include a son, Mark Needham, of Amarillo; a daughter, Sharon Evans of Greenwood Village, Colorado; grandchildren, Christina Tyson (Michael), Jennifer Evans (Sonny), and Ryan Evans (Rachael); great-grandchildren, Seeara Tyson (Christina), Annabelle and Cash Evans (Jennifer); great-great-grandchild (Liam Tyson (Seeara), all live in the Denver area.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to High Plains Food Bank, 815 Ross St, Amarillo, TX 79102, in Ruby’s name.
