Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Vance Collins officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Ronnie was born April 10, 1947, in Dalhart to A.W. and Lillian Blackshear. He married Sandee Black on June 27, 1992. Ronnie was a disc jockey at KDDD for several years under the name “Ronnie Dean”. He had worked at The Demon Barber Shop and owned and operated San Jacinto Barber Shop for more than 25 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister Nancy Blackshear; and a son, Ronnie Daye Blackshear.
Survivors include his wife, Sandee Blackshear of Amarillo; four daughters, Kasha Stoll of Duluth, MN, Misty Rodriguez and husband Raul of Topeka, KS, Marce Collins and husband Vance of Meriden, KS and Shelly Black of Califon, NJ; two sons, Lester Black and wife Sheila and Jerry Black and wife Andrea, all of Amarillo; two sisters, Shirley Bowman of Tye and Janice Stone and husband Ricky of Dumas; and nine grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be made to American Heart Association, 6605 W Interstate 40, Suite A6, Amarillo, TX 79106.
