Ronald Earl Marshall, 80, of Amarillo, TX died Monday, May 27, 2024.

Visitation will be from 6-7:30 PM, Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Boxwell Brothers, 2800 Paramount. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Hillside Christian Church Chapel, 6100 Soncy. Interment will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Ron was born December 22, 1943, in Amarillo, TX to Lloyd and Donaleta Marshall. He graduated from Palo Duro High School, earned an associate degree from Amarillo College, and attended West Texas State University.

He and the former, JoEllen Sipes were married July 12, 1963.  

Ron was a member of Hillside Christian Church.  He worked at Ponca Wholesale & Mercantile for 10 years, and AQHA where he was the Executive Director of Administration for 30 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and shooting and was a member of Amarillo Rifle & Pistol Club. He enjoyed the beach and being on the water. Ron loved spending time and playing with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Donna “Peaches” Brown; brother, Gary Marshall; brothers-in-law, Sammy Sipes, Garland Butler, and Homer Brantley; sister-in-law, Debbie Mashall; father-in-law, Ernest F. Sipes; and mother-in-law, Ruby Sipes.

Survivors include his wife, JoEllen Marshall, of Amarillo; his children, Matt Marshall and wife Donna, of Vega, TX; and Amy Huddleston, of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren, Katee Smith and husband Cam, of Amarillo, TX; Kooper Huddleston, of Stephenville, TX; and Miles Marshall, of Vega, TX; great-grandchild, Josie Smith; brother, Johnny Marshall, of Amarillo, TX; sisters, Shirley Butler of Mesquite, TX; and Suzanne Brantley, of Amarillo, TX; sister-in-law, Carolyn Marshall, of Amarillo, TX; brother-in-law, Tony Sipes and wife Mary Deane of Amarillo, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
