Ron Allen Word

Ron Allen Word, 53 of Amarillo, TX passed away November 18, 2024.

The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 PM, Monday, November 25, 2024 at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. 

The memorial service will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at First Baptist Church, 1208 Tyler, with Dr. Howard Batson officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Ron was born May 8, 1971 in Abilene, Tx to Robbie and Nancy Word. He graduated from Borger High School in 1989 and attended West Texas State University and Amarillo college. He had worked for Allen’s Tri-State Mechanical for 17 years as a Refrigeration Supervisor. 

Ron loved being outdoors, especially fishing, golfing, off road jeeping, hanging out with friends and especially his children Reese and Robin Elise and special friend Karissa Greer, of Amarillo, TX. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Amarillo, TX.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robbie Word.

Ron is survived by his son, Reese Allen Word of Brenham, TX; daughter, Robin Elise Word of Amarillo, TX; mother, Nancy Watson and husband John of Amarillo, TX; and brother Richland Keith Word and wife Jen of Edmond, OK.

A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date in Seymour, TX.
