Robert Taylor Henderson, 86, of Amarillo TX, went to his eternal resting place on Tuesday, May 14, 2024.

Services will be at 10:00 am, Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Dale Moreland officiating.A visitation will be held from 6pm-7pm, Monday, May 20, 2024 at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Robert was born September 22, 1937, in Pampa, TX to Horace & Mary Ethel Henderson. Robert was known as RT, Rob, Bob, Dad, and Papa, to all his loved ones and friends. Robert graduated from Dumas High School in 1956, served the U.S. Marine Corp in 1957, and then later became a Manager with White Deer and Groom, Southwestern Public Service. Other accomplishments in his life include being over the Royal Rangers at First Assembly of God church and serving as a member of the Texas Panhandlers RV club. He loved hunting, playing golf, and telling jokes. Robert was a devoted Christian who exemplified a strong faith. He lived his life as a dedicated follower of Christ. He enjoyed his Sunday school class at The Church at Quail Creek. His life was marked by his dedication to serving God and others, loving to share God’s word, and praying without ceasing.

He is preceded in death by his first wife Sherry Henderson (1998); current wife, Martha Henderson (2019); Grandson, Koltan Henderson (2020); both parents and one sister, Betty Rowell (2020).

Survivors include his kids, Keenan Henderson and wife Cathy, Scott Boyd, Brenda Pierson and husband Sam; Sister in law, LaDaina LaFrance and husband Gary; grandkids, Krishna Harriman and husband Clayton, Andrew Boyd, Alix Rodriguez, Paige Castellon and husband David; great-grandkids, Cooper Harriman, Kimber Harriman, Charlotte Harriman, Ayden Rodriguez, and Leighton Castellon.
