Robert "Bob" Lee Saylor – January 16, 2018

Robert “Bob” Lee Saylor, 88, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, January 16, 2018.
Services will be at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, January 20, 2018, in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel.  Private entombment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Robert was born on September 14, 1929, in Chicago, Illinois to Velma and George Saylor.
He was a US Army veteran having served 20 years proudly and honorably in the Korean War and two tours in Vietnam.  He was a Jumpmaster with the 82nd Airborne Division, radio commo chief and was awarded a Purple Heart.  After retiring as a Sgt First Class, he was a loan officer and accomplished avid golfer, having practiced enough over the years to finally get a hole in one in 2007. “Pa” is  greatly loved by his grandkids and will be missed.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Barbara “Jean” in 2004, and by two sons, Jim Saylor and George Saylor; and his brother Jim Saylor.
He is survived by two loving daughters, Christy Craft and husband Robert of Amarillo and Connie Lobaugh and husband Dwayne of Burkburnett, Texas; a son, Robert Saylor and wife Cecile; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and devoted golf buddies.
