Ricky Don “Gooch” McMinn, 59, of Dumas, died on Tuesday, May 7, 2024.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation and arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas, 500 N. Maddox.

Ricky was born on February 15, 1965 in Plainview, Texas to Jerry Don and Katherine McMinn. He graduated from Dumas High School in 1983. He had worked for Monfort Swift for many years and had retired as Captain for the Moore County Fire Department after many years of service. He volunteered with emergency management as well. He loved to Mud Bog and ride 4X4s offroad. He enjoyed playing with vehicles.

He is survived by his sister, Kathy Ralph and husband Brian of Borger; a nephew, Jeremy Mauck and girlfriend Kristen Johnson of Dumas; a niece, Miranda Mauck and fiancé Justin Songer of Fritch; and several other nephews and nieces and extended family.
