Richard (Rick) Walders, 75, of Amarillo, TX passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024.

Rick Walders was born on April 16, 1949, in Amarillo, TX to Joseph Jacque Walders and Betty Ruth Martin Walders.

He attended Tascosa High School, class of 1967, and attended Amarillo College and West Texas State University.
Rick Walders married Judy Hammers on November 1971, in Amarillo, TX.

He opened Legacy Floorcovering in 1998 and closed the store Thanksgiving 2023.
Rick Walders focus was devoted to his work, his family and occasional fishing trips when he could slip away. He loved to volunteer with Make-A-Wish.

Survivors include his wife, Judy; a daughter, Kim Hill and husband David Hill; grandson, Mason Hill; and granddaughter, Regan Hill, of Castle Rock, CO.

Memorial service will be at 10:00 am, Monday, June 3, 2024, at the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
