Richard Daniels

Richard Daniels, 74, of Amarillo, Texas died on April 24, 2022.

Services will be at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 27, 2022, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Richard was born on March 20, 1948, in Burton, Texas.

Richard met the love of his life Kay when they were in the third grade. They got married in 1967 in Amarillo, Texas and soon after, they had their daughter Teri. Richard and Kay were inseparable and loved living life together. It was known that Richard’s life revolved around baseball when it was in season, and nothing interrupted that. He raised his children and later grandchildren to love and cherish the sport.

Richard was preceded in death by the love of his life, Linda Kay Daniels; his mother and father, Ella Louise Daniels and Roy Estel Daniels; his sister, Lililian Jones; his brother-in-law, Jerry Jones; and his niece, Connie Jones.

He will be greatly missed by his sister, Delores Archer and husband Coleman; his daughter, Teri Elaine Medlock and husband Jon; his son, Chris Terry; his grandsons, Joshua Oliphant, Tye Medlock and wife Lauryn, and Tory Daniels; his granddaughter, Kyla Baucom and husband Shane; his great-grandchildren, Lexee, Katee, Blaze, Braxton, and Kameron; special friend, Judith Deen; several nieces and nephews; and many other friends who loved him dearly.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. – 7:30 P.M., Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.
