Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, in Llano Cemetery with Lynn Rector officiating.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Rex was born Aug. 5, 1928, in Huntington, Ind., to Wendell Roy and Inez Marie Yoder. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force on Oct. 31, 1959, and graduated from West Texas State University with a business degree on May 26, 1963. He worked in accounting and computers for the cattle industry.

Rex married Betty J. Ratliff on Nov. 25, 1982, in Amarillo. After retiring, he and his wife enjoyed buying, fixing up, and selling houses. He attended First Presbyterian Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Yoder; a brother, Leroy Richard Yoder; and a daughter, Lynda Ham.

Survivors include five daughters, Tam Lance, Stephanie Yoder, Leslie Thorne and Vicki Brown, all of Amarillo, and Connie Wooton of Canyon; a brother, Larry Dean Yoder of Peru, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and Aunt Maybell Wintrobe, who is an amazing 108.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials be sent to Odyssey Hospice, 7201 Evans Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106.
