Regetta Luedene Hodge, 61, of Amarillo died Saturday, May 19, 2012.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Mount Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Morris Mitchell officiating.
A second service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2012, at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church with Elder Herbert Harper officiating in Atlanta, Texas. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Regetta was born May 6, 1951, in Atlanta, Texas, to J.P. and the late Excell Lawson. She married Herman Hodge, Jr. on July 6, 1987, in Linden, Texas.
Regetta was a receptionist and was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Herman Hodge, Jr.; her father, J.P. Lawson of Atlanta; four sons, Carnell Smith and April of Atlanta and Roderick J. Smith and wife Martie, Willie Hodge and wife Liz, Royce Hodge, all of Amarillo; two daughters, Charlotte Hodge and Ramona Hodge, both of Amarillo; a brother, Wilbert L. Cornish of Houston; five sisters, Ruby J. Reese of Dallas, Charlene Bowden and husband Clyde of Denver, Colo., Deborah A. Lawson and Jeanetta F. Lawson, both of Atlanta, and Jeaneria F. Royal of Daingerfield; two uncles, A.V. James of Atlanta and C.M. and Helen Martin of Amarillo; two sisters-in-law, Myrtle Hodge and husband Bennie of Amarillo and Priscilla Tyous of Texarkana, Ark.; two special brothers-in-law, Horace D. Hodge and Harvey D. Hodge, both of Linden, Texas; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two special friends, Fay Jackson and her beautician, Irene Ford, both of Amarillo; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
