Raynath (Ray) Calvin Stallings, 66, of Amarillo, TX passed away January 12, 2025.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd with Pastor Gary Juarez officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery.
Ray was born on April 6, 1958, in Amarillo, TX. He graduated from Caprock High School and went on to earn his LVN from Amarillo College. Ray dedicated more than 40 years of his life to the healthcare industry as a licensed vocational nurse. Outside of work, he enjoyed playing Skip-Bo and Wahoo, as well as indulging in his favorite treat—ice cream—always trying a new flavor. Ray proudly considered himself the “Fastest Ice Cream Eater in the West”!
Ray was deeply devoted to his family and friends, who affectionately knew him as “Uncle Ray.”
He is preceded in death by his stepfather, Jose Eugene Fajardo, Sr.; sister, Cathelina Hernandez; mother, Joyce Edna Fajardo; brother-in-law, Jessie Bustos, Sr.; and his father, Thomas Calvin Stallings.
Ray is survived by his sisters, Pamela Bustos, Denise Soria (Joseph), all of Amarillo, TX, and Yolanda Fajardo (Aaron), of Dallas, TX; brother, Jose Fajardo Jr. (Nancy), of Dallas, TX; nephews, Francisco Stallings (Aimee), of Amarillo, TX and Jessie Bustos, Jr. (Emily), of Eagan, MN; nieces, Sophia Juarez (Gary), of Spring, TX, Monica Evans (Anthony), Victoria Ortega (Bruno), Nicole Pickens (Chris), and Erika Soria, all of Amarillo, TX; eighteen great-nephews; eleven great-nieces; two great-great-nephews and three great-great-nieces.
The family will receive friends from 5-6:30 pm, Friday, January 17, 2025, at the funeral home.
