Ray Hayden Ousley, 80, formerly of Dumas, died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, in Amarillo.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Glen Walton officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Ray was born Sept. 30, 1933, in Abilene to E.H. and Lois Ousley. He graduated from Pampa High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Abilene Christian College. He served in the Army. Ray married Wanda Parks on Aug. 29, 1954, in Sulphur, Oklahoma. He worked in personnel and safety for Continental Carbon for more than thirty years. He taught bible classes often and led the song service at First Street Church of Christ in Dumas for years.
Survivors include his wife Wanda Ousley, of the home; a son, Ray Ousley, Jr., of Amarillo; and a son, Todd Ousley of Amarillo.
Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, at the funeral home in Dumas; and on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home in Amarillo.
