Rafael Marquez, Jr., 18, of Amarillo, TX died Wednesday, March 20, 2024.

Viewing will be from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday, March 22, 2024, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m., Friday, March 22, 2024, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Memorial mass will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 23, 2024, at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church, 4500 West Hills Trail. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Rafael was born on January 15, 2006, in Santa Fe, NM.  Following graduation from Caprock High School, he began his career as a mechanic in the automotive industry. He loved his job with a passion. Rafael was the light of the room and always made everyone happy. He had such a caring heart and always made sure his family and friends were okay. He was the most perfect boy.

Survivors include his mother, Laura Limas; father, Rafael Marquez; two sisters, Heidy Marquez, and Lorenza Marquez; two brothers, Luis Marquez, and Joel Moctezuma; his son, Yadriel Rafael Marquez; his girlfriend, Maria Anchondo; and his grandpa, Francisco Limas.
