Peter Lyn Brown, 51, formerly of Adrian, died Sunday, July 17, 2011, in Dallas.
Services are scheduled for 1:00 PM, Thursday, July 21, 2011, at First Baptist Church in Amarillo.  The burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery at Vega. Arrangements are being provided by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2008 Paramount Blvd.
Peter was born in Amarillo on April 28, 1960. He grew up in Adrian and graduated from Adrian High School in 1978. He attended Texas A&M University and received his bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1982. He then went on to graduate from Baylor Law School in 1985.
He practiced law in Amarillo and Dallas and had been employed by Kreiss Collection in Chicago. He was currently employed as an Executive Loan Officer for Shelter Mortgage in Dallas. He was a former member of First Baptist Church Adrian, First Baptist Church Amarillo, and Park Cities Baptist Church Dallas. Peter was a very compassionate person who served on the board of many charities.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lem and Helen Biddle of Vega, Texas, Floyd and Ruth Brown of Adrian, Texas, and his aunts, Maxine Brown of Adrian, Texas, and Pat Biddle of Pueblo, Colorado.
He is survived by his parents, Billy Don and Elizabeth Ann Brown of Adrian, Texas; his brother, Dennis Don Brown and his wife Sarita of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; a sister, Amy Elizabeth Brown Villwock and her husband Scott of Kingwood, Texas; three nephews, Maston Floyd Brown and his wife Erin, William David Roy, and Michael William Villwock; four nieces, Kathryn Lorraine Brown, Karen Elizabeth Brown, Hannah Ruth Roy, and Megan Elizabeth Roy; one great niece, Guadalupe Sarita Brown; his aunts and uncles, Jimmy Brown, Phyllis and Bob Gruner, Jerry and Charlene Biddle, Nancy and John Jeffreys, many cousins, and numerous friends.
Peter had the uncanny ability to make someone laugh the instant he met them. Everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him, loved him.
The family request that memorial donations be made to The Master Plan at First Baptist Church Amarillo, 1208 South Tyler Street, or Memorial Park Cemetery at Vega.

    Peter will be so missed. Working with him was a great joy. He always knew how to make me smile and was a good friend. He was very compassionate and loving. Rest in peace my dear friend our loss is heavens gain….

    Dear Brown Family,
    I am saddened to hear of the loss of Peter. I had not seen him since High School, but so thankful for all the success that he went on to have and the love and laughter he shared with others. I know that you will miss him.
    May you experience God’s love and grace in these coming days as you honor and remember his life. May there be shared laughter over good memories, healing tears over sweet remembrances, and thankfulness for having loved.

    My deepest sympathy to Peter’s family. Peter was a great friend whose compassion and sense of humor will be so greatly missed. He was the consumate gentlemen and his love of life and friends was beyond compare. We will miss his charm, quick wit, and loving presence.

    My prayers go out to all the family. Peter & I were close @ one time & even though I have not seen him in years, he added fond memories to our youth. I will always remember him with a smile.

    Heaven has it’s newest comedian… Move over John Belushi.Glida Radner.Rodney Dangerfield …you have met your match.Peter was not only a source of continued humor.. udderly hilarous but one the kindest most stylish always put togather gentlemen and
    gracious humanbeings I have ever had the pleasure of ever meeting. always good for a laugh and a kind word. Peter God bless we will all miss you…. I know now really heaven will be filled with laughter now that you are there … just remember my dear friend that makes you my opening act …till we meet again ..I will truly miss you
